Zinfandel is a variety of red grape planted in over 10 percent of California vineyards. The grapes typically produce a robust red wine. The grapes can have a high sugar content which will ferment into a high level of alcohol. Styles include: a light spicy flavour with a berry-like aroma, or a full bodied, oak aged, berry-like, dark coloured.
